I've got a long list of things I want to write about but September has been wild so I've not been able to stick to my schedule.
However, before I hopefully get back on track, I thought I would share a quick nugget as a Sunday treat that you can tell people about as an interesting fact!
Chinese Medicine (and many other systems) understand that are areas on the body that correspond to specific organs, body systems and body parts.
It is known as reflexology which many people associate with the feet but it is not we have maps of our body system on our face, hands, eyes, ears, skin…everywhere.
All over our body we have mini microcosms of our body that can be used to treat and diagnose illness! I see it like a fractal, where there are patterns that repeat themselves on a smaller and smaller scale going on Ad infinitum.
In nature, we find these fractal patterns everywhere where the whole of a tree can be contained in have trees, lightning, rivers, sea shells, and blood vessels all that all contain the whole pattern in their individual parts.
Da Vinci wrote "all the branches of a tree at every stage of its height when put together are equal in thickness to the trunk."
Each branch of a tree contains all the information of the tree and takes on its pattern from it's mother branch.
If you are not convinced that you can read the body through reflexology then embryology may also provide the answers. We see that as we develop in the womb the tissue we are made from arises from the same place. For example, our ectoderm cells develop into the skin, eyes, ears, nose, mouth and our nervous system. So there is a direct connection between our nervous system the communication system of our body and these organs. That makes sense to me but there are many ideas that propose answers to how reflexology works from the holographic theory to even the Schumann resonance.
Either way, for me it works and that is good enough! I love using iridology to understand more about someone's constitution both physical and emotional. It is amazing the insights you can uncover and it is very accurate! A good dinner party conversation starter!
In fact, if you want to learn more about behavioural iridology then I would highly recommend signing up for Andrew Mason's introductory course. He is the leading expert in the UK in this subject so well-worth getting in touch with him.
However, this was my introduction to giving you my interesting nugget (that may or may not be an actual fact!) !
Auricular acupuncture or ear acupuncture uses just the ear to treat different areas of the body.
So when you get ear piercings you will be directly stimulating a certain area of the body.
Have a look at the picture above. You can see that the traditional piercing on the lobe of the ear is on the eye reflex.
So pirates would pierce their ears and wear gold earrings. The gold would tonify the eye and improve their vision!
Silver is more sedating, so if you are wearing silver earrings then you might be calming down certain parts of the body. This could be good or perhaps swapping to gold could be better to stimulate them!
Either way, do not use cheap metals as these will almost certainly aggravate!
So now you can improve your eye-sight like a pirate! (FYI this is not medical advice 😂)
Over and out xxx
P.S I'm not witty enough to make pirate puns…(actually I also sort of hate them 😅!) but please do add your own!
What a fabulous post! As a Iridologist myself, I have attended a webinar hosted by @Andrew'ssubstack and can thoroughly recommend his work. He is really moving Iridology forward with his ground-breaking work. Very glad to connect with you both!
Amazing, thanks for posting!
